Arriving by road

Warsaw has no complete ring road, so most traffic crosses the city centre itself and congestion is heavy. Approaching from the west you enter on Wolska and Połczyńska streets, from the south-west on Krakowska avenue and then Grójecka, and from the north-west along the Wisłostrada on the left bank. Blue-on-white Centrum signs lead inward, except from the north-east, where cars follow the Praga sign.

From the airport without a car

From Chopin Airport, SKM line S2 runs through Warszawa Śródmieście and line S3 to Warszawa Centralna, while city buses 148, 175 and 188 also serve the airport, which lies inside ticket Zone 1. At Modlin Airport a yellow shuttle bus links the airport with Modlin railway station for regional trains into Warsaw, and a combined Bilet Lotniskowy ticket is sold for the trip.
