Rzeszów by car
Rzeszów spreads over both banks of the Wisłok in the Sandomierz basin, a confident provincial capital that has swallowed neighbouring communes to keep growing. Aviation plants and an eastward trade route keep it busier than its modest size suggests.
Driving in Rzeszów
Rzeszów is reached by A4 and S19. Parking in the centre is paid and marked by zone.
Where to park
Driving and parking in central Rzeszów are difficult, but a small cluster of three free car parks lies on Krakowski street, a short walk from the centre, serving a fast-food restaurant, a supermarket and a residential area.
Arriving by road
Rzeszów sits on the E40, which carries on east to the Ukrainian border. Drivers from Kraków arrive on the A4, those from Lublin or the Slovakian border on the S19, and route 9 (E371) offers another way in from Slovakia.
From the airport without a car
Since 2023 a direct train has run from Jasionka Lotnisko station at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport to Rzeszów Główny in the city centre. City bus line 51 leaves from the Jasionka - Port Lotniczy stop just before the terminal, and because the airport lies outside the city limits the ride needs an A+B ticket, sold by machines at the airport.
