HyreCar is a comparison site for car rental. We do not rent cars ourselves: when you run a search, we redirect you to Rentalcars.com (part of the Booking.com group), where the booking and any payment take place under their terms and privacy policy.
What we collect
You can browse and use the search on this site without providing any personal data. We do not offer accounts, and no payment details are ever entered here.
- Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, searches started). Consent is off by default and requested through the banner; you can decline and everything still works.
- Error logs. Technical error reports (via Sentry) may be recorded to keep the site working. They are not used to profile you.
Cookies and consent
Nothing is sent to Google before you accept: the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you do (Google Consent Mode v2, basic — default denied). Analytics cookies are set only after you accept. Declining leaves analytics off; the search form and the redirect are functional, not tracking, and do not depend on consent.
You can change your mind at any time: use Cookie settings in the footer. It clears your stored choice, deletes the analytics cookies and shows the banner again.

Your rights
