Picking up and returning
Shuttles at the airport
Free airside buses link Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, stopping near gate C08 or A28 in Terminal 1 and near G83 or below H18 in Terminal 2. Landside, the two terminals are joined on foot through the Munich Airport Center, and an automated underground train serves the satellite gates J, K and L.
Driving to the airport
Exit 6 (Flughafen München) on the A 92 only works for traffic to and from the west and feeds Bavarian State Road St. 2584 to the terminals. Drivers coming from the east leave at exit 8 (Freising Ost) and follow St. 2580, which meets St. 2584 east of the airport.
Public transport into town
The S-Bahn station lies in a tunnel beneath the central area between the two terminals. The S1 reaches the centre from the west through the northwestern suburbs, the S8 from the east, and regional bus 635 runs to Freising station for trains towards Munich, Nuremberg and Regensburg.

Do I need an International Driving Permit?
An EU or EEA licence is enough.
