When most people say they’re taking a ride withUber, they’re probably referring to Uber X, the tech company’s most popular ride option. However, there are different ride options that users can request, such as Uber XL, Uber Select, Uber Comfort, Uber Black, and Uber SUV.  These ride types require drivers to use vehicles of specific sizes and types, from economy cars to high-end SUVs. If you’re a rideshare driver, it’s good to know the best cars to rent or own, especially if you want to drive using other ride types aside from UberX. Here is a list of vehicle requirements for Uber, categorized by ride type, as well as HyreCar’s vehicle suggestions for each, based on factors like best gas mileage and best cars for ridesharing. Keep in mind, these cars are also great options to use for other on-demand delivery platforms like Postmates, DoorDash , Instacart and Shipt as well.
